Visit of 80 military delegates of NATO countries to the Aristotle School building

An important visit of 80 high-ranking military delegates from NATO countries took place on the morning of Saturday, November 30, at the Aristotle School building in Naoussa, within the framework of the friendly cooperation of the Municipality of Naoussa with the General Staff of National Defense.
The visit of the military took place due to the holding in Thessaloniki from November 28 to December 2, 2024, of the 26th Congress of the Balkan Committee of Military Medicine, with the participation of now 200 representatives from the 6 member states of the Committee (Albania, Bulgaria, Greece, Romania, Serbia, Turkey and Greece).
At the Conference, in addition to the scientific program with the central theme of "Natural Disasters and Military Medical Support", special emphasis was also given to the cultural component with visits to archaeological sites in order to highlight the historical and cultural heritage of our country.
The visit was coordinated by the Naoussa military man, member of the National Defense General Staff, Mr. Giorgos Liambas, in collaboration with the Municipality of Naoussa and the Deputy Mayor's Office for Culture.
The National Defense General Staff has chosen the Aristotle School to meet the above need, a place where the King of Macedonia, Alexander the Great, was initiated into philosophy and poetry, mathematics and natural sciences by Aristotle, one of the greatest intellectual figures in the world.

Present on behalf of the Municipality were the Mayor Mr. Nikos Koutsoyiannis and the Deputy Mayors Mrs. Anna Aslanidou, Mrs. Vicky Daniilidou and Mr. Theodoros Doldouris.
In his greeting, the Mayor of Naoussa referred to the history and the place where Aristotle taught the young Alexander the Great, as well as to the Municipality's plans and the excavations that will begin in 2025 for the promotion of the Mieza High School
Then, after the exchange of gifts, the participants visited the Macedonian Tombs of Lefkada.
